REFUND POLICY

Cancellation/refund terms

Cancellation Conditions

Between 60 days before departure and the balance due date, the guest can cancel his reservation and choose from the following options:

  • Obtain a refund of the entire amount paid net of management costs equal to 15%

  • Move the booking to the following year by choosing the same tour and boat.

  • Obtain a credit note for the entire amount paid, to be used with our association within 12 months from the date of issue.

  • From 72 hours before departure until the time of boarding, if the guest cancels the tour or in the event of a no-show, the deposit cannot be refunded and additional costs or compensation may be applied for canceling early.

  • If the guest cancels due to serious illness, accidents or serious conditions that do not allow them to leave, a refund of the deposit can only be requested upon presentation of a medical certificate or documentation certifying the seriousness of the situation.

  • Once set sail, no refund can be requested, not even in the event of sudden bad weather during the tour which has already started. The captain of the boat will choose the navigation strategy best suited to the situation and sea conditions and opt to continue the tour or return to the port.

  • In case of slight discomfort or seasickness, disembarkation at the port or on land cannot be requested or any refund requested. In case of serious illness, you will return to port or request assistance directly at sea from specialized operators. All expenses incurred will be borne by the guest.

  • Each of our guests assumes the responsibility of being in excellent physical and mental health conditions and of taking the necessary precautions to avoid suffering from seasickness. We recommend bringing the XAMAMINA in case of need, or the seasickness bracelet.

IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER

  • If weather conditions do not allow navigation on the day of your tour, the interested parties may decide together to postpone the tour or be refunded the booking deposit.

  • We check the weather with reliable sources and set sail with the best sea and wind conditions. On a sailing boat, however, it is always better to have a wind exceeding 10 knots that allows you to sail, rather than calm winds, where we would be forced to use the engine.

  • Don't rely on the weather forecast on the web, TV or APP, but let those who know the coast of Sicily give you the best advice.

FEE BALANCE

  • 30 days before departure you will be asked to pay the fee, or the remaining 50% in the case of mini-cruises or weekends with overnight stay.

  • In the case of daily tours, the balance can be paid in person at the time of boarding, or by bank transfer at least 3 days before departure.

  • THE CAPTAIN reserves the right to modify the routes, stops and itinerary depending on the sea and wind conditions, to guarantee the relaxation of everyone on board and to ensure that all participants have a wonderful experience in total safety and tranquility.

  • The captain reserves the right to return to port before the scheduled time if sea conditions become dangerous for guests on board.

  • The Captain reserves the right to disembark guests on board at the first nearby port, who should compromise navigation or not cooperate on board.

  • Sailing requires adaptability, a spirit of collaboration, understanding and above all accepting changes in wind and sea.

  • With good manners even the most extreme situations can be resolved, with rudeness only useless arguments and conflicts are created which lead to nothing
